AFCON 2025: Ronwen Williams goes level with Shaun Bartlett
Ronwen Williams is now in the top five of Bafana Bafana players with most AFCON matches after he went level with Shaun Bartlett.
Bafana Bafana goalkeeper and captain Ronwen Williams has equalled Shaun Bartlett‘s record at the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) finals.
On Monday, Williams started as Bafana Bafana registered a hard-fought 3-2 win over Zimbabwe in their final Group B match.

AFCON 2025: RONWEN WILLIAMS PLAYS HIS 14TH MATCH
With Williams featuring against Uganda, he has now played 14 AFCON matches, the same as Bartlett did for Bafana Bafana during his playing days.
Bartlett scored six goals in those 14 AFCON matches, and he won the Golden Boot award at the 2000 finals with five goals.
Williams, on the other hand, has kept six cleansheets in 14 of his AFCON matches while conceding 11 goals.
He is the most capped Bafana Bafana goalkeeper at AFCON despite only winning 59 caps for the national team.
