Eight players contracts are set to expire soon. Therefore, several exits are likely with a new coach about to be hired.

Eight Chiefs players contracts expire at the end of the season. Furthermore, with the DStv Premiership coming to an end soon, Amakhosi management will have to make some tough decisions.

With this in mind, we look at the Chiefs players who are likely to leave.

FIVE CHIEFS PLAYERS LIKELY TO LEAVE NATURENA

Amakhosi management have decided to let go of Jasond Gonzales, according to recent reports on iDiskiTimes. Furthermore, George Matlou and Siyethembe Sithebe are unhappy with their lack of regular playing time.

Moreover, this is unlikely to change given the fact that they sit behind Yusuf Maart, Sibongiseni Mthetwa, Nkosingiphile Ngcobo and Edson Castillo.

Therefore, it comes as no surprise that these midfielders may leave at the end of the season. Whilst, Itumeleng Khune and Keagan Dolly also face possible exits. Talk about big decisions – the future of the last-standing Amakhosi legend and the PSL’s highest-paid player.

EX-BAFANA BAFANA STARS ENTERING LATTER STAGES OF CAREER

At the time of publishing, Khune is likely to hang up his boots at the end of the season. Originally, the last standing Amakhosi legend was keen to extend his contract. However, when he reportedly came to training drunk, his chances of earning a contract extension took a massive blow. Understandably, given the zero tolerance policy towards substances at the club. The same policy that saw Dumisani Zuma leave the club after the same actions.

Finally, the PSL highest-paid star has missed most of the recent campaign due to injury. Therefore, the club is considering offering him a lower salary. One that could see him entertain other options if he is unhappy with the offer. The next Chiefs coach is expected to have the final say these players.
