Broos closes door on Lorch: Pirates and Sundowns kicked him out
Lorch has five goals and four assists to his name this season, but Broos reiterates he cannot help Bafana Bafana with anything.

Bafana Bafana coach Hugo Broos has reiterated that Thembinkosi Lorch is NOT an option for his current team.
This despite Lorch hitting form at Wydad Athletic Club in recent months – creating goalscoring opportunities and scoring.
Broos said he has been following Lorch’s career since his days with both Orlando Pirates and Mamelodi Sundowns.
The outspoken mentor revealed how Lorch was kicked out at both Pirates and Sundowns as he was not performing.
He feels even his first season with Wydad wasn’t good enough for him to return to the Bafana Bafana setup.
Furthermore, Broos said he doesn’t only look at a player’s form when selecting his squads but the qualities as to whether or not that player can help Bafana Bafana.
And his conclusion, with regards to Lorch, is that he cannot help this current Bafana Bafana squad with anything.

BROOS: LORCH CAN’T HELP BAFANA BAFANA
“In the last three months, there is only one name that always comes back: Lorch, Lorch, Lorch,” Broos told reporters.
“Did everyone see the performance of Lorch over the last two years? Nobody!
“He played at Pirates. He was out of the team; they kicked him out. He was happy that Rulani was at Sundowns. He came to Sundowns, he played a few games, and finished. They kicked him out also,” he continued.
“He went to Morocco, first year… Now, suddenly, in the last three months, he played well. Don’t you think that we know that?”
“But I don’t look at a player like, ‘oh yeah, I like Lorch’, no. I look at what is his qualities – offensively, defensively, can he help the team?
“When I evaluate that player, I have to say, ‘no, he can’t help us. Finish, done’,” concluded Broos.
WHAT ARE THE NUMBERS SAYING?
Lorch has featured in 28 competitive matches for Wydad since his move from Sundowns last season.
And the 29-year-old attacker has contributed eight goals and four assists.
This season only, Lorch has four assists and five goals in 11 outings for the Moroccan giants.
