Ex-Pirates anchor leaves Sekhukhune for lower division side
Sekhukhune United may have to find a replacement for the former Pirates man as he’s dumped top flight football.
Former Orlando Pirates midfield anchor Miguel Timm has left Sekhukhune United for Cape Town City.
City are currently playing in the Motsepe Foundation Championship following their relegation from the Betway Premiership last season.
Now, according to SABC Sport, Timm was presented with an offer he could not reject by City.
Timm had been with Sekhukhune United for a few months after they signed him on a free transfer at the start of the season.

EX-PIRATES STAR JOINS CAPE TOWN CITY
“SABC Sport can confirm that Cape Town City are in the advanced stages of securing the services of midfielder Miguel Timm from Sekhukhune United,” reads part of the report.
“Sources close to the negotiations have informed the public broadcaster that Timm was presented with an offer too significant to ignore – one that persuaded him to trade topflight football for a role in the Motsepe Foundation Championship as Cape Town City push hard for an immediate return to the elite level.”
TIMM NOT A REGULAR AT SEKHUKHUNE
Timm, despite his experience, was not a regular under coach Eric Tinkler at Sekhukhune United.
The 33-year-old featured 14 times in all competitions this season, and mostly from the bench.
Timm will now aim to use his experience to help Cape Town City push for a return to top flight football this season.
City are currently fourth on the Motsepe Foundation Championship log heading into the second round of the season.
