FIFA World Cup: How to buy tickets for the final
The FIFA World Cup is on the horizon, and tickets for the final are already available for fans to purchase online. Here’s how you can do it…
The 2026 FIFA World Cup is just months away, and tickets for the tournament in Mexico, Canada and the US are selling like hot fatcakes.
As previously report, FIFA initially announced that with dynamic pricing in place, tickets can start as low as $60 (R1000) for early group-stage matches.
However, the prices may rise to as high as $6,730 (R111 949,17) for the World Cup final in New Jersey.
And after the backlash, the cheapest ticket became $45 (R748,41) as FIFA attempted to remedy the situation.
Now, despite not knowing which teams will make it to the final of this year’s global showpiece, fans just care less about it.
Argentina head into this year’s edition as the defending champions, and will attempt to defend their crown.
Brazil and Italy are the only two countries in history to have ever won back-to-back FIFA World Cup titles.
Brazil lifted the trophy in 1958 and successfully defended it in 1962, while Italy won the World Cup in 1934 and 1938.
