BAFANA BAFANA TO BE BASED IN MEXICO FOR FIFA WORLD CUP
Bafana Bafana have chosen Pachuca Universidad del Futbol in Mexico as their base for the FIFA World Cup.
This facility belongs to the oldest football team in Maxico, CF Pachuca, which was established in 1892.
STRATEGIC MOVE BY SAFA?
Choosing Mexico as a training base is seen as a strategic move by the South African Football Association (SAFA).
And that’s because Bafana Bafana are scheduled to play their opening and final group games in Mexico.
Their final game will be against South Korea while the second game against a yet to be determined European opponent will be played in Atlanta, in the US.
