SuperSport United coach Gavin Hunt is furious and lambasts referees in the wake of their 1-1 draw against Polokwane City in the DStv Premiership on Wednesday.

Hunt is aware that a win would have elevated his men to the top of the log table and leapfrog Mamelodi Sundowns.

HUNT FURIOUS AND LAMBASTS REFEREES AFTER DRAW VS. CITY

With Sundowns occupied with their African Football League assignments, Hunt was left livid as they could not capitalise because of poor referee decisions.

“We should have won this game. It’s a disgrace, this is actually embarrassing what went on here,” he said after the match per Phakaaathi.

“But anyways I’m proud of the players but what can you do? We have to blame ourselves a little bit because we missed chances but it wasn’t a free kick that led to their goal.”

The former Kaizer Chiefs mentor adds that he is not worried about closing the gap on Sundowns because they have a small squad.

“We don’t worry about that, we’ve got a small squad and we do the best we can,” Hunt adds.
