Kaizer Chiefs will unveil Nasreddine Nabi soon with an agreement and fee agreed between Amakhosi and FAR Rabat.

CHIEFS AND FAR AGREE ON NABI FEE

“Nasreddine Nabi’s current employers, Botola Pro giants FAR Rabat, have reportedly green-lit the Tunisian’s departure amid speculation linking him with Kaizer Chiefs. According to Moroccan news outlet Biladna 24, the reigning league champions, Nabi and Chiefs have all reached an agreement that will see the 58-year-old leave the nation’s capital once he has coached his final match of the 2023/24 campaign.” Wrote Soccer-Laduma citing the Moroccan publication.

PROFILING NASREDDINE NABI

Nasreddine Nabi was born in Monastir, Tunisia in 1965 and has dual Tunisian and Belgian citizenship. Vastly experienced, he’s held head coaching roles in Libya, Sudan, Egypt, Italy, Tanzania and Morocco.

CLOUT ON THE CONTINENT

Having got to grips with African football, especially in the North, Nasreddine Nabi will have plenty of tactical nous in his toolbox. Amakhosi have been crying out for a man with a CV as impressive as this on the continental stage.

ENTERTAINING FOOTBALL IS A MUST

FAR Rabat boss Nasreddine Nabi has reiterated his desire to ‘put on a good show’ for the supporters to enjoy and shared the secret to his team’s productivity in front of goal this term. They’ve scored 63 times in 29 matches, 14 more than any other side in the division. This revelation will be particularly pleasing for Kaizer Chiefs fans, who always demand entertaining, attack-minded football. The Glamour Boys only scored 25 times in 30 DStv Prem matches in 2023-2024. That’s an abysmal record that needs to change.

WHAT IS THE BEST POTENTIAL STARTING XI UNDER THE NEW BOSS?

Bvuma; Frosler, Msimango, Ditlhokwe, Dove; Mthethwa, Castillo; Shabalala, Maart, Mmodi; Du Preez.

In the silly season, Amakhosi have been linked to every player and his dog. However, some tumours are more credible than others. Iqraam Rayners, Andy Boyeli and Lebo Mothiba are candidates to fill the number 9 vacancy, while Oswin Appollis, Elias Mokwana and Luther Singh could all add quality from the wide areas. Even Cape Town Spurs’ Cupido has been mentioned. Will Nabi snare any of these targets?
