Kaizer Chiefs’ first major January signing announced
Kaizer Chiefs had been quiet in this transfer window but they have now secured their first major and surprise signing!
Kaizer Chiefs have finally made a move in this January transfer window by securing the services of Xhosa Manyana.
Manyana joins Amakhosi on loan until the end of the current season from Cape Town City.
The 20-year-old midfield anchor is seen as an immediate replacement for Sibongiseni Mthethwa, who recently suffered a long-term injury.
He comes in without having made his professional debut for Cape Town City but he had been in their youth setup.
Manyana shone for the City DStv Diski Challenge (DDC) team for two years before moving to the US to sign for FC Cincinnati in January 2025.

KAIZER CHIEFS SIGN MANYANA FROM CAPE TOWN CITY
HAS MANYANA SIGNED A PRE-CONTRACT WITH AMAKHOSI?
Rumour has it that Cape Town City had their backs against the wall to loan Manyana out to Chiefs.
And that’s because there could be a possibility that the young midfielder had already signed a pre-contract with the Glamour Boys.
If that’s the case, this means Manyana would fully be a Glamour Boy come 1 July when the winter transfer window opens.
