Kaizer Chiefs to hire foreign based coach – Report

Kaizer Chiefs are in the hunt for a new head coach and Amakhosi management are leaning towards signing an overseas based coach.

Kaizer Chiefs are in the hunt for a new head coach and Amakhosi management are leaning towards signing an overseas based coach.

Both men have been linked to the Amakhosi jobs recently but if recent reports are to be believed, neither man will make the cut. Furthermore, Amakhosi management are currently assessing several overseas coaches as we speak.

CHIEFS WANT TO SIGN A COACH FROM ABROAD

Chiefs search for a new coach has taken them abroad.

“The new coach will come from outside of South Africa as they are looking for quality, and they assessing a few coaches from abroad,” the insider stated on KickOff.

Chiefs learnt the hard way with local appointments leaving fans frustrated and disappointed.

Both Molefi Ntseki and Arthur Zwane were local based coaches who came through the ranks at Naturena. However, both men failed to bring any silverware to Amakhosi and left fans so frustrated that they protested for them to leave.

FIVE-YEAR DEAL ON THE CARDS FOR NEXT KAIZER CHIEFS COACH

This is not to say appointing a foreign based coach will fix everything. However, Amakhosi management have learnt the hard way from their recent head coach appointments and they want to ensure the next coach they hire the right man. In fact, they are planning to offer the next coach a five-year deal.

“The management is currently still negotiating with some candidates; they are looking to appoint a quality coach who will be with the team for five years at least so that he can have ample time to develope the current team. They are looking outside the country,” he added.
