Manqoba Mngqithi is Kaizer Chiefs’ favourite?

There are some strong names that have come up for the vacant Kaizer Chiefs hotseat. Could Manqoba Mngqithi be the favourite?

Molefi Ntseki and Amakhosi parted ways. Now, they have hired Cavin Johnson on an interim basis.

However, they are expected to hire their next head coach in coming months. We believe Manqoba Mngqithi is one of the strongest candidates for the Chiefs job.

MANQOBA MNGQITHI A STRONG CANDIDATE FOR CHIEFS JOB

Amakhosi management are looking for an experienced coach with the potential to turn around the Soweto giants fortunes.

Furthermore, Mngqithi was recently demoted from co-coach to assistant.

Therefore, Chiefs could offer him a chance to be the solo head coach. In turn, he offers them experience, a man who has tasted tremendous success with Mamelodi Sundowns in the PSL.

In addition, Amakhosi can afford his services.

It was just a few months ago that they were considering bringing Mngqithi to Chiefs before Ntseki was named.

So, it will come as no surprise if they reignite there interest in the former Sundowns co-coach.

GROWING LIST OF CANDIDATES

Names such as Nasreddine Nabi, Brandon Truter, Cavin Johnson, Muhsin Ertugral and Pitso Mosimane have all come up.

They are willing to reconsider offering Nabi the job. Whilst, Johnson is in with a shout if he can make an impact over the next two months. Truter and Ertugral are well known to the PSL public and are both veteran coaches who could be considered. Finally, Mosimane is the dream choice and his recent struggles with Al Wahda are being monitered.
