Former Kaizer Chiefs midfielder Mandla Masango has given his assessment of his former club so far this season.

Masango played for Chiefs between 2007 and 2015, and he is among the last crop of players to win the league for the club.

Now, with fans divided as to whether the or not the Soweto giants have done, Masango weighed in with his opinion.

Speaking to FARPost, the 36-year-old admitted that Chiefs have had a better season compared to the previous ones.

Masango further pointed out that this time last season, Amakhosi were nowhere near the title chasers.

As things stand, Chiefs are placed fourth on the log, and they just four points behind leaders Orlando Pirates.

By the look of things, Chiefs are fighting hard to remain within the top six teams on the log standings.

And should they maintain the current performances, chances are they will definitely finish in the top eight bracket.
