Bafana Bafana wing-back Khuliso Mudau has made it clear that his desire is to play in Europe.

The 28-year-old was linked with a move to English Premiership side Burnely. Since joining the Brazilians, Sailor has won three league titles, the MTN8, Nedbank Cup and African Football League.

MUDAU EMBRACING AFCON BATTLE

He is in the Bafana African Cup of Nations team and being one of the most consistent players in the PSL, he is tipped to succeed in the tournament.

A good showing at the Afcon games could see one or two big European teams looking to bring him on board. At the age of 28, it could be his chance to impress European scouters.

“Europe offers a broader audience and opportunities to grow at the highest level,” Mudau was quoted on iDiski Times.

“Ambitious players don’t worry about the cons, we are self-driven.

“But the PSL and African club competitions have shown a significant steady growth in the past 2 years, so I’m enjoying the tough competition,” he said.

Mudau has not played many games for the national team as Bafana coach Hugo Broos opted to start Nyiko Mobbie ahead of Sailor.

The Sundowns star though says he just wants to play alongside the best players

“All I want is to see myself on the same playing field with the best players the continent has to offer,” Mudau added.

“I’ve admired them for the longest time and now I get to test myself against them.”
