Bafana Bafana head coach Hugo Broos says former Kaizer Chiefs star Njabulo Blom does not have the right attitude.

Blom was left out of the Bafana Bafana 23-men squad for the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.

The 23-year-old Louis City SC star featured for the national team last month but Broos chose to leave out for ex-Chiefs midfielder for qualifiers against Benin and Rwanda.

BROOS NOT HAPPY WITH NJABULO BLOM

“You know Njabulo Blom is not there at the moment. He sent a message on Monday saying that he was injured on his shoulder and he couldn’t come to camp,” Broos explained last week as per FARPost.

“We asked for a medical report and now we didn’t receive it. We received a message three days later that he can play. I don’t think that is the right attitude and the right mindset to come to a national team.

“I’m very sorry, this is not the first time. This is not the right attitude, I find. Players, when you hear them talking, you hear about the hunger to play for the national team, it’s up to you to think what attitude is that and therefore I didn’t select him,” Broos was quoted on FARPost.
