Nkota to hand Bafana Bafana’s No.10 jersey back to Mofokeng
The former Orlando Pirates teammates – Nkota and Mofokeng – have worn the No.10 jersey at Bafana Bafana, but the owner is back!

Bafana Bafana attacker Mohau Nkota says he will gladly hand the No.10 jersey back to ‘its owner’ Relebohile Mofokeng.
Nkota recently donned the No.10 jersey in an international friendly against Zambia as Mofokeng was not in the squad.
Now, with both players in the final squad for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (Afcon), Nkota said Mofokeng will reclaim what is rightful his.
He further admitted that he is still new in the Bafana Bafana setup, adding that he doesn’t have a jersey number he would call his.
Nkota has, so far, used a few jersey numbers apart from the No.10, including No. 2 and No.21.
NKOTA TO GLADLY HAND NO.10 JERSEY TO MOFOKENG
“I don’t have a jersey number. It’s only recently that I started playing for Bafana Bafana. So, I don’t have a jersey number. I just play football, not with a number,” said Nkota to Velile Mnyandu.
“That No.10 jersey [against Zambia] was given to me, and they said, ‘that’s your responsibility’ because the owner was not there.
“Now, the owner is back. You saw him in the final squad right? Yes. So, I must give it back to him because I know that it’s his jersey number.
