Mokete Mogaila has just left Royal AM and reports suggest that Orlando Pirates are in a battle against AmaZulu for his signature.

According to a football publication, Phakaaathi, Pirates want to sign Mogaila and AmaZulu are also keen to secure his signature.

His agent, Gerald Baloyi, confirms Pirates and AmaZulu are battling for the ex-Royal AM star, Mogaila.

This comes as the winger left Thwihli Thwahla and Pirates and AmaZulu are working hard to sign him.

As a free agent, Mogaila is open to joining a club of his choice but Pirates might table an enticing offer.

The football publication reports that talks between Mogaila and Royal AM fell through – will he join Pirates?

“There have been negotiations with Pirates for a possible move for Mogaila,” says the winger’s agent about Pirates and AmaZulu.

“I can say that we are still talking and to see if there can be something that comes out from the negotiations.

“It is the same with AmaZulu, they are one of the teams that have also been asking about his services.”

AMAZULU SERIOUSLY INTERESTED IN PIRATES TARGET

Baloyi says he can only advise his client, and confirms Usuthu are the side who have been making enquiries about the winger.

The ex-Royal winger’s handler adds that they will see which DStv Premiership side tables a good offer between Pirates and AmaZulu.

“They like him and they believe that he can blend in perfectly in their squad,” adds the ex-Royal winger’s agent.

“At the end of the day, it’s all about the player and what he believes is perfect for him.

“As an agent, one can only advise here and there to try to get a good deal for the player.

“Let’s just hope that something good will come out from these negotiations.”

Meanwhile, the 28-year-old ex-TS Galaxy star has 16 appearances for John Maduka’s Royal AM this term while providing two assists.
