Orlando Pirates have secured the services of Mpho Chabatsane and Daniel Msendami ahead of the resumption of the season.

The two players – Chabatsane and Msendami – arrive from Marumo Gallants who, earlier this season, also sold Masindi Nemtajela to Pirates.

Chabatsane is seen as a direct replacement for Mbekezeli Mbokazi who has since joined Chicago Fire in the US.

The Buccaneers were always going to need to replace Mbokazi with a player who shares the same qualities and technique.

Chabatsane is a left-footed defender who’s comfortable both at left-back and at centre-back.

ORLANDO PIRATES SECURE TWO TOP TALENTS

“Orlando Pirates Football Club is pleased to announce the signing of Daniel Msendami and Mpho Chabatsane, as the Club continues to strengthen its squad ahead of the resumption of the 2025/26 campaign,” reads part of an official statement.

WHO WILL MAKE WAY FOR MSENDAMI?

Orlando Pirates already have exciting attacking midfielders, meaning Msendami will have his work cut out for him.

They have the likes of Relebohile Mofokeng, Oswin Appollis, Tshepang Moremi and Kabelo Dlamini among others.

Now, Abdeslam Ouaddou may be forced to change his usual 4-2-3-1 formation in order to accommodate Msendami.
