Orlando Pirates star Mofokeng on prospects of moving abroad
Relebohile Mofokeng is yearning to leave Orlando Pirates for a move abroad, but he understands it has to start with him turning heads.
Orlando Pirates and Bafana Bafana star Relebohile Mofokeng has broken his silence on the prospects of moving abroad.
Mofokeng is currently in Morocco with Bafana Bafana for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament.
And while he hasn’t really gotten a chance to fully showcase his talent to the world, the 21-year-old admits the tournament is very important.
The silky attacking midfielder has been linked with a possible move away from Pirates since the departure of Mohau Nkota to Saudi Arabia.
However, nothing concrete has come his way despite always shining for Orlando Pirates and Bafana Bafana.

“I think if something can be available for me, I can get the chance somewhere in another country,” said Mofokeng as per FARPost.
“I think it will be a very good move. This tournament is very important [in that aspect]. When I get a chance, I’ll just have to grab it,” he added.
A DIP IN FORM?
Mofokeng has somehow experienced a dip in form for Orlando Pirates this season as he’s just scored once in 17 matches across all competitions.
Last term, Mofokeng netted 12 times and grabbed 15 assists in 49 games for the Buccaneers.
