Pitso Mosimane on Kaizer Chiefs: “I can put out the fires”

Pitso Mosimane firmly believes that he can turn Kaizer Chiefs fortunes around if he is offered the Amakhosi job.

Mosimane has a knack for transforming and saving clubs.

He took SuperSport United from relegation to six consecutive Cup finals and the CAF Champions League. Furthermore, he has continued to work wonders at Mamelodi Sundowns. Al Ahly, Ah Ahli and Al Wahda. Therefore, it comes as no surprise that he anf many Amakhosi supporters believe he is the answer to their trophy drought.

PITSO MOSIMANE BELIEVES HE CAN SAVE CHIEFS

Mosimane supported Chiefs growing up.

He has followed them closely and even watched their recent PSL match against Moroka Swallows.

Furthermore, he believes that they have a lot of long-term issues that need attention. Moreover, these are issues that he believes he can solve.

“Chiefs not winning a Cup for eight years, these things happen. I can put out the fires. I have always had to put out fires all my career,” he stated on Goal.

Jingles feels that Amakhosi need clearly defined short and long-term goals. Which is something he could bring to the club.

“The issue is what are their short and long-term plans. It’s like in business, it works like that,” he continued.

Jingles has identified that the club needs work and I am sure he has a plan for them, if he is offered the job.

“Chiefs always had star players and they were beating everybody, that’s what the brand is big. I saw their game against Moroka Swallows recently and I think they need a little bit of work,” Mosimane added.

JINGLES IS CAPABLE OF TURNING AROUND AMAKHOSI’S FORTUNES

We already discussed what he did with SuperSport United. Meanwhile he took Mamelodi Sundowns to their first-ever CAF Champions League title and lead them to five DStv Premiership titles.

He then made his way to Al Ahli in Egypt where he lead them to a record third-placed finish in the FIFA Club World Cup – twice. Additionally, he also lead them to two successive CAF Champions League victories.

Then, he took First Division Saudi Arabian outfit Al Ahli into the top flight by winning the title with a mid ranked First Division side. He is a specialist at turning around a clubs fortunes and Amakhosi have never needed this more than now. Their nine-year trophy drought has seen many coaches come and go in an attempt to end it. He may not have had the best run at Al Wahda but his reputation speaks volumes.

Therefore, if there is one man who can return the Glamour Boys to their glory days it is Mosimane.
