Both teams enjoyed a two-week long break, in light of the recent FIFA International fortnight break.

25 NOVEMBER 2023: Orlando Pirates announce today’s fixture details

The last time Orlando Pirates took to the green grass was in their crucial Soweto derby triumph against Kaizer Chiefs on 11 November 2023.

Richards Bay on the other hand will be looking to build on from their previous win against Cape Town Spurs. A win for them could see them climb out of the relegation zone.

Furthermore, Thembinkosi Lorch will miss out through suspension.

Action gets underway at 15:30. The match will be televised live on SuperSport PSL. Unfortunately for many fans, today’s clash will NOT be televised live by the public broadcaster SABC.

“It’s still early days. There are points that are going to be dropped, including the teams that are on top.” former Orlando Pirates full-back Innocent Chikoya told KickOff.

“If you concentrate on the games in hand and not winning the league, you are going to do well. Remember, in South Africa, if you overtake Sundowns, you win the league.

“The trick is to take each game as it comes until you are in the top two. You play the game to go above the team that is on top of you. That’s the nature of the game. If you overtake Sundowns, you have won the league.”
