Orlando Pirates goalkeeper Sipho Chaine has joined both Brandon Petersen and Ronwen Williams as PSL record holders.

The record is that of most cleansheets kept by a goalkeeper at halfway mark of the season.

The duo – Chaine and Petersen – have both kept 11 cleansheets in 15 league games this season.

This record was previously held by Williams who set it during the 2022-23 campaign with Mamelodi Sundowns.

For Chaine, all he needed to do was to avoid conceding against AmaZulu on Tuesday, and he did just that as Pirates won the match 2-0 to go top of the log.

As things stand, Pirates lead the standings with 35 points, three clear of second-placed Sundowns.
