Kaizer Chiefs midfielder Siyethemba Sithebe could be on his way out of the club according to reports.

The dread-locked former AmaZulu attacking midfielder has struggle to make an impact since joining Amakhosi in 2022.

He played 22 league games in his debut season but injuries halted his second season so far and has since struggled to break into the first team.

The 31-year-old has only made one league appearance for Kaizer Chiefs this season and is unlikely to feature with the likes of Yusuf Maart and Sibongiseni Mthethwa preferred ahead of him.

“When I joined Chiefs from African Wanderers, I knew that I had to work harder than before. Chiefs are a big team with fans all over the country and in Africa.

“I think Sithebe needs to do the same. You are expected to do well every time you get a chance to play. Their fans expect nothing but the best all the time.

“Sithebe is a quality player and needs to work hard and understand that he is now playing for a bigger team.

“I’m sure Ntseki will give him a chance again if he works hard and focuses on his football career. Chiefs will always sign quality players, and the competition will always be there. I believe in him, and I was happy for him to sign with a bigger team like Chiefs,” Novethe said.

Kaizer Chiefs are only in action next month but the club areto reportedly busy during the transfer window.

If Sithebe wants to be a regular at a club, he should seek a move away from Naturena.
