South Africans Abroad: Lorch could be on the move
Lorch has netted five goals and registered four assists in 11 games for Wydad this season, but a surprise move could be on the cards.
South African attacker Thembinkosi Lorch could be on the move before the closing of the January transfer window.
Lorch is currently on the books of Moroccan giants Wydad Athletic Club, and he has done tremendously well for them.
However, he could soon be lost to Wydad with iDiski Times reporting that Lybian giants Al-Ittihad Tripoli are eyeing him.
Al-Ittihad are know for splashing money on players they want to sign, meaning Wydad could be tempted to sell.
Al-Ittihad are the same club that signed Botswana international Thatayaone Ditlhokwe from Kaizer Chiefs.

SOUTH AFRICANS ABROAD: LORCH HEADING TO LYBIA?
“South African winger Thembinkosi Lorch could leave Wydad Athletic Club in the January transfer window with a reported move to Libyan giants Al-Ittihad on the cards,” reads part of the report.
“Lorch, 32, has been one of the standout players for Wydad this season, but sources have confirmed that a money-spinning offer from the North African club has been tabled.”
LIBYA OR MOROCCO?
Lorch appears to be enjoying his football again in Morocco with five goals and four assists already this season.
He’s now regarded as one Wydad’s top players, and a move to Libya may been seen as a step back in his career.
The former Bafana Bafana international would need to adapt to life in Libya before Al-Ittihad can see the best of him.
Perhaps, staying with Wydad, at least until the end of the season, could be more beneficial for Lorch’s career.
