South Africans Abroad: Magidigidi unveiled, contract details revealed
Siviwe Magidigidi has been unveiled in Europe, and he has agreed to a long-term deal with Belgian side Beerschot.
South Africa’s rising star Siviwe Magidigidi has officially been unveiled by Belgian outfit K. Beerschot V.A.
Magidigidi joins his new club from Siwelele FC following some impressive performances this season.
Last week, Siwelele confirmed talks between them and Beerschot, and the parties finally came to an agreement.
In a statement released on Tuesday, Beerschot revealed that Magidigidi has penned a three-and-a-half year deal.
This means the 20-year-old striker will be at Beerschot at least until June 2029.

“Beerschot has completed the signing of
Siviwe Magidigidi,” reads part of the statement.
“The 20-year-old striker joins from South African side Siwelele FC and signs a three-and-a-half-year contract at Kiel, with an option for an additional season.
“Magidigidi is considered a major offensive talent in his home country and is known for his speed, dribbling ability, and knack for scoring. This will be the young attacker’s first international adventure,” added the statement.
CAREER STATS FOR THE YOUNGSTER
Magidigidi made his professional debut during the 2023-24 season, but he couldn’t immediately hit the ground running.
In his first two seasons, the striker managed a combined two assists in 24 matches across all competitions.
This season alone, Magidigidi netted four goals with a single assist in just 12 matches for Siwelele FC.
He is a full South Africa junior international with two goals in four matches for the U20 team.
