A BATTLE FOR PSL’S TOP SPOT OR REVENGE?
Both Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates will head into this Soweto Derby in good spirit following their great start to the season.
As things stand, Pirates top the standings but it remains to be seen if they will go into this encounter occupying the spot.
And that’s because they still have to face Mamelodi Sundowns before playing the Soweto Derby.
While for some, this clash is about three points and a league title push, for others it’s more about revenge.
It’s more about revenge in the sense that Kaizer Chiefs beat Orlando Pirates in the Nedbank Cup final in the last Soweto Derby which was played in May 2025.
