Star midfielder Teboho Mokoena is modest in his target and ambition for Bafana Bafana – he reveals what he wants to achieve with the national side.

The Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder, Mokoena says the ambition and target is to take Bafana to a different level – beyond the quarter-finals.

Coached by Hugo Broos, Bafana will face Cape Verde on Saturday night and Mokoena says reaching the Last Eight is not new but the target and ambition is to do better.

Mokoena netted a stunning free-kick for Bafana as they downed Morocco via a 2-0 margin on Tuesday – but he has a different target and ambition.

The former SuperSport United star, Mokoena is rising as one of the Bafana’s most trusted soldiers as he has five goals with three assists out of 28 matches next to his name.

Born in Welkom, Mokoena made his Bafana debut back in 208 and now looks at his target and ambition for the 1996 African champions.
