HAPPY JELE PLANNING TO KEEP PLAYING

Staying with Pirates, Lorch’s former teammate and captain, Happy Jele, is determined to keep playing football beyond his current age of 37.

After looking very unfamiliar in a Royal AM jersey last season, the Middelburg-born defender left the KZN club in the early past of this season.

So what’s next?

“At this point and time, I’m still training on my own,” Jele told FARPost.

ORLANDO PIRATES STRIKER SET TO LEAVE

Not every striker can make a name at Pirates. The latest example is Souaibou Marou.

After failing to make a single appearance in the first round of the current 2023/24 season, the Cameroonian striker’s Pirates dream is all but over.

According to his agent Makaab, Marou’s complete exclusion from the team is strange and difficult to fathom.

“It’s a strange situation because he is really highly rated, but this happens in football where coaches see players in a different light,” Makaab said via SABC Sport. – READ THE FULL STORY HERE.
