South African Skop at Cannes 2012

Check out the photos of the South African networking event at the Cannes Film Festival, held on Saturday 19th May. It’s the annual event at Rado Plage on the Croisette that has every journalist begging for an invite, and throngs of hopefuls standing at the top of the staircase trying to talk their way past the security guys. But it’s simple – no invite, no entry!

On the other hand, with an invitation…you’re welcomed to step beyond the roped barrier, down the stairs and into what they call ‘South Africa in France’. This is where over 100 South African movie-makers and dozens of foreign press, marketers and deal-makers come to mingle, hook up with old friends, make new friends, eat the best food in town and party hard.
