IEC Releases Celebrity Video to Encourage South Africans to Vote

The Electoral Commission of South Africa (IEC) has released their video campaign to encourage local South Africans to register and vote in the 2014 elections.

The following South African celebrities  explain why they’re voting in South Africa’s 2014 national and provincial elections:

• Liquideep — musical duo
• Melinda Bam — model and TV presenter (former Miss SA)
• HHP — musician
• Joey Rasdien — comedian
• Pabi Moloi — radio presenter
• Lira — singer
• Zolani — lead singer of the group Freshly Ground
• Jack Parow — musician
• Toya Delazy — musician
• Shashi Naidoo — model, TV presenter
• Lalla Hirayama — model, TV presenter
• Siyabonga Ngwekazi — TV presenter
• Khuli Chana — musician
• Loyiso Bala — musician

The video then asks locals: What’s your why?

The final registration weekend for South Africans in SA is the 8th and 9th of February.
