In a video uploaded by event manager and fundraiser Rachel Smith, Courney asks that beach visitors please pick up stompies and glass because it’s “better for the sea and for the animals in the sea”. Watch video below.

Courtney says: “Meet an #earthkeeper that goes unnoticed. Courtney works for the #CityofCapeTown, trawls Surfers Corner to collect trash every morning – come rain or shine –  and is an ocean activist.

“Surfers… next time you see him please say thanks!

“Smokers… re use your (Knead) cup and stick your stompie inside and then throw in the bin.

“Please share Courtney’s message and encourage everyone to STOP USING PLASTIC SPOONS and stirrers, plastic STRAWS, & throwing ciggie butts in the sand!!!”
