Briefed
Authorities, including the South African Police Service (SAPS), the City’s Metropolitan Police Department, and Traffic Services, have been briefed.
Reddam House School, located near the proposed protest route, as well as officials at the US Consulate, have also been notified.
While the organisers have yet to provide further information regarding the time of the protest, anticipated turnout, or the specific issues being raised, city officials say they are actively seeking updates to keep the public informed.
“We’ve requested additional details from relevant departments to ensure residents receive accurate information and to prevent misinformation from spreading,” a city spokesperson said.
