The eThekwini Municipality has released updated information on which Durban beaches and public pools are safe and open for swimming.

As of 5 September, the municipality reports that poor water quality has forced the closure of three Durban beaches. The beaches currently closed are:

  • REUNION
  • DOONSIDE BEACH
  • WINKLESPRUIT

“This status of beaches and pools will be updated as and when their status changes. You can still enjoy other recreational activities at closed beaches. You just can’t swim.” the municipality said.
