Cedric Kaze has explained their roles as Kaizer Chiefs co-coaches alongside Khalil Ben Youssef since taking over.
The duo were appointed following the departure of Nasreddine Nabi whom they served under as assistants last season.
And while they had a promising start to their tenure at Chiefs, things recently started going south for them.
Kaze and Ben Youssef are underfire from a section of Amakhosi fans who feel they are not the right men for the job.
Now, asked what their individual roles are as co-coaches on Thursday, Kaze said he is responsible for defence while Ben Youssef’s responsibility is in the attacking third.
The question came on the back of Kaze making a public presentation to try and prove that they are actually doing a good job.
KAIZER CHIEFS ROLES: KAZE FOR DEFENCE, BEN YOUSSEF FOR ATTACK
“I would say that, mostly, Khalil and I share responsibilities but mainly, I take care of all our defensive structures, plays and set-pieces,” Kaze told reporters.
“And he, himself, takes care of all our offensive structures, set-pieces and plays,” he concluded.
HOW AMAKHOSI LOOK DEFENSIVELY AND OFFENSIVELY?
Amakhosi have played 18 league to date, and they have collected just 30 points, and they are currently sixth on the log.
Chiefs have been impressive defensively so far this season with 11 cleansheets and 12 goals conceded.
EIGHT of those 12 goals were scored against Brandon Petersen while Bruce Bvuma conceded the other FOUR.
Offensively, Chiefs have looked blunt this season with just 16 goals scored in the 18 league games they’ve played.
Flavio da Silva is the club’s leading goalscorer with FIVE league goals from 12 games.
