The South Africa-born 52-year-old Elon Musk leads the way ahead of American Amazon founder Jeff Bezos.
They are followed by, France’s founder, chairman and CEO of LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton, Bernard Arnault. who rounds out the top three.
The rest of the top ten, in order, are Mark Zuckerberg, Bill Gates, Steve Ballmer, Warren Buffet, Larry Page, Larry Ellison and Sergey Brin.
The figures are updated at the close of every trading day in New York.
