As convenient as it sounds to apply for and/or renew your SA ID document as part of this pilot program, there have been issues. The DHA has previously explained that satellite offices situated within the participating banks often delivered poor service. Stating system downtime as one such problem of the Smart ID and SA bank pilot program. Another was brand damage to the participating bank due to inefficiencies of the DHA.
