Colin Mochrie is a familiar face for a lot of South Africans, who will remember the Canadian comedy star from his time on the television show ‘Whose Line Is It Anyway?’

But what is the famous star doing now that the improv comedy show has stopped airing on our screens?

Mochrie is still doing comedy, except this time he’s doing it with a combination of stage hypnotism with artist Asad Mecci.

WHOSE LINE IS IT ANYWAY?

The television show Whose Line Is It Anyway? aired from 1998 to 2007, according to the Internet Movie Database.

The show combined improvisational comedy and on-the-spot ideas, with Ryan Stiles, Laura Hall, Drew Carey, and Colin Mochrie (and others).

In total, Whose Line filmed approximately 400 episodes featuring differen situations that had been made up where “the points don’t matter”.

Colin Mochrie has been part of the international comedy circuit for years, and his appearance on the improv-comedy show is only one facet of a multitalented career.

Other than his time on stage, he’s also been part of shows like Hollywood Squres, Made in Canada, and the movie Getting Along Famously.

If you’re South African and a certain age, then you practically grew up with Colin and Whose Line, which was somewhere on eTV before the weekend movies kicked in.

According to his website and Facebook page, he’s currently part of a show called Hyprov with Asad Mecci.
