While Kelly Khumalo is being crucified on social media following the latest developments in the Senzo Meyiwa murder trial, many of her supporters are sticking by her side. This week, Bongani Ntanzi — one of the accused — pointed Khumalo as the alleged mastermind behind the 2014 murder.

Nanzi claims he was paid an amount of R45 000 to pull off the murder and was first paid R15 000 on Sunday, 26 October 2014, on the evening Senzo was killed. He also said he received a further R30 000 a few days later.

The confessions, which Nanzi claims were made under duress, have set social media ablaze has app users demand Khumalo’s arrest.

One of the accused in the case also made shocking claims about Khumalo allegedly organising the hit on her then-boyfriend.

According Bongani Nanzi — who appeared in court on Friday 14 March this week — he was paid an amount of R45 000 to pull off the murder and was first paid R15 000 on Sunday, 26 October 2014, on the evening Senzo was killed.

He also said he received a further R30 000 a few days later.

In a trial within the trial, Nanzi and another accused Muzi Sibiya attempted to have the confessions thrown out citing that they were made under duress.

Pretoria High Court’s Judge Ratha Mokgoatlheng made the ruling on Thursday, 14 March that the confessions are admissible.

FANS WANT JUSTICE WHILE OTHERS OFFER SUPPORT

Meanwhile, local social media users have not had many kind words with Kelly who they believe knows what happened to Senzo on that fateful evening.

“Go to jail mthakathi,” one X user wrote.

Other social media users have showered her with support. Taking to X after the ruling was made, one fans said:

“We love you @KellyKhumaloZA , we’ll keep on supporting you. Keep well, stay strong, and maintain your positive mindset.”

Responding to this, the songstress used a red heart indicating her appreciation of the support.
