American mogul Oprah Winfrey Winfrey has turned 70 years old on Monday, 29 January. The now 70-year-old has celebrated her milestone by getting active.

OPRAH WINFREY TURNS 70!

In a post to Instagrams Oprah shared a video of herself going for a run on the beach. She also added Jill Scott’s song Golden to her video together with the words, “This is 70!” over her video.

“Celebrating 70 with a run on the beach. #healthisthebestgift. Thank you for all the birthday love 🥳”, Oprah Winfrey captioned her birthday post.

In December 2023 Oprah Winfrey opened up to People magazine about how fitness has made her feel stronger than ever.

She also admitted to finding solutions to maintain healthy weight by taking a more holistic approach that includes regular exercise and other lifestyle adjustments.

Oprah Winfrey also confirmed that also uses weight-loss medication.

“[Weight fluctuations] occupied five decades of space in my brain, yo-yoing and feeling like why I can’t just conquer this thing, believing willpower was my failing”, the media mogul told People magazine.

Oprah continued: “After knee surgery, I started hiking and setting new distance goals each week. I could eventually hike three to five miles every day and a 10-mile straight-up hike on weekends,” she said. “I felt stronger, more fit and more alive than I’d felt in years”.

‘GRATITUDE IS MY RELIGION’

Over the years Oprah Winfrey has garnered a very successful career for herself. The actress, producer and philanthropist has also used her craft and platform as a beacon of inspiration to help others achieve their goals.

In conversation with People magazine in December last year, Winfrey said, “Gratitude really is my religion”.

She continued: “I still continue to rise, and I’m in a space now where my offering is to help other people to rise,” said Winfrey. “The principle that is the underbelly, the cornerstone for how I operate in the world. … Life is better when you share it”.
