Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have adopted their title; Duke and Duchess of Sussex as the surnames for their two children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.

PRINCE HARY AND MEGHAN MARKLE REBRAND

Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet were previously known as “Master Archie Mountbatten-Windsor” and “Miss Lilibet Mountbatten-Windsor”, however thus changed in 2022 when King Charles afforded Harry and Meghan’s children the titles of prince and princess when Charles became the King of England.

According to Meghan and Harry this change is set to “unify” their family.

Royal sources have reported that the use of the Sussex moniker is not new. The family has been using ‘Sussex” for a while now and instead of Mountbatten-Windsor, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet have also been using the Sussex surname since King Charles’s coronation in May last year.

‘IT’S A PROUD MOMENT’

This change comes after the couple’s public rebrand. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex recently launched a brand-new website which will reportedly share “personal updates” about their lives and venture for their supporters.

Instead of Archewell.com, the couples’ main website is now Sussex.com.

“The reality behind the new site is very simple — it’s a hub for the work the Sussexes do, and it reflects the fact the family have, since the King’s coronation, the same surname for the first time”, a source told The Times.

The source continued: “That’s a big deal for any family. It represents their unification and it’s a proud moment”.

The Duke and Duchess’ rebrand comes a few weeks after King Charles announced that he had been diagnosed with an unspecified cancer.
