‘This is defamatory’: Rapper Big Zulu hits back at troll

Rapper Big Zulu is not happy with the ongoing allegations about him and has requested trolls to respect his family and children.

Rapper Big Zulu – real name Siyabonga Nene – has finally addressed a running social media joke about his sexuality.

This comes after popular X influencer @AdvoBarryRoux took to the social media platform to repost wedding images of the Inkabi Records boss’ doppelganger.

BIG ZULU SLAMS TROLL

The images of the alleged gay couple went viral last year with Big Zulu’s name topping the trends list. At the time, trolls alleging that the hip hop artist had gotten married to his high school sweetheart.

This time, when the images resurfaced, Big Zulu slammed the claims; telling the troll that they are humilating, defaming and disrespectful.

“This is defamatory to my name (or character). Please respect me because I am where I am in life because of respect. I’m a grown man, I’m raising children and seeing this rubbish you posted would not sit well with them. I have a family that I would like for you to respect. I have no problem if you choose to disrespect me.”

SAMAS NOMINATION

Meanwhile, Big Zulu bagged a South African Music Awards (SAMAs) nomination on Tuesday, 3 October.

The Inhlupheko hitmaker is nominated in the Best Traditional Album category for his offering titled Inkabi Nation.

The SAMAs nominees were announced at The Soweto Theatre in Jabulani, with the organising revealing that they have found a new home in Durban for the next three years.

The 29th annual event will be held on 17 and 18 November at the Durban ICC.
