Wondering about all the important FULL MOON dates this year?

January started with a spectacular event, called the Wolf Moon. Linked to wolves each year, the name is used even in Southern Africa where wolves aren’t common to the area.

Next up is the Snow Moon, called this due to changing temperatures and snowy conditions.

Here’s what to know about the next lunar events from Fenruary until June.

THE NEXT FULL MOON IN FEBRUARY, 2024

The next FULL MOON is happening in February.

Moonlookers should watch the skies on 24 February, 2024 for this lunar event. According to the website Time and Date, this full moon is called the the Snow Moon.

It happens during a leap year, giving the month one extra day.

Even if you aren’t seeing snow, remember to look up.

ALL THE IMPORTANT FULL MOON DATES UNTIL JUNE

According to Astronomy.com, the March full moon is happening on the 25th day of the month.

This is called the Worm Moon, because it’s when worms (and nature) get busier.

April’s moon is next, happening on April 23, 2024. During the same month, an eclipse is expected – but only visible from North America and parts of Europe!

FULL MOON DATES FOR MAY TO JUNE

The next lunar date is on May 23, according to Moon Giant.

June 21, 2024 is the NEXT lunar date after that.
