A few weeks ago, Derek Watts — the host of popular documentary show Carte Blanche — announced that he had been diagnosed with skin cancer. The news was met with sadness by Watts’ many fans who have taken to social media to share well wishes with him.

The TV presenter recently shared a health update from his hospital bed which brought many to tears. According to him, he is fine and will be discharged soon.

DEREK WATTS HOSPITALISED, SHARES HEARTWARMING HEALTH UPDATE

TV icon Derek Watts has left many South Africans saddened after opening up about his cancer diagnoses on Sunday evening.

Last month, the TV personality shared a photo of himself taken from his hospital bed. He also revealed that he had collapsed after suffering a stroke.

The Carte Blanche Twitter page shared that he is now back in hospital. In a heartwarming clip, Watts says that he is in for a “short hospital stay.”

He also adds that he will be out soon.

The veteran anchor goes on to thank all of the show’s viewers for all of the love, messages and prayers that they have been sending his way.

The post received thousands of reactions from social media users whose hearts were warmed after watching him in such high spirits.
