Chaos erupted again on Tuesday afternoon at the Pan African Parliament, as the gathered politicians in Midrand, Gauteng, attempt to elect new leadership.

The main bone of contention is that the southern caucus is calling for a rotational leadership… which the caucuses from East and West Africa heavily oppose.

The election process had to be delayed yesterday because of chaotic scenes as politicians argued.

This was repeated today. In the video below a female politician can be seen pushing male politicians, including EFF Leader Julius Malema, who exercised restraint and did not retaliate. Malema said afterwards that it’s “embarrassing” that politicians are behaving like this.

Last Thursday Malema himself caused a commotion when he was filmed threatening a fellow member of the Pan African parliament. He explained afterwards that he was retaliating to a Mali MP who had threatened to kill him.
