South Africans will go to the polls for the seventh national elections since 1994 on Wednesday, 29 May 2024.

President Cyril Ramaphosa on Tuesday determined the date “in accordance with section 49(2) of the Constitution of the Republic of South Africa, read with section 17 of the Electoral act of 1998”, according to a statement released by the Presidency.
