Actor Julian Sands’ cause of death ‘undetermined’

Britsh actor Julian Sands‘ cause of death has been deemed undetermined due to the condition of his body after he went missing on a hike six months ago.

JULIAN SANDS CONFIRMED TO BE DEAD

Actor Julian Sands cause of death has been deemed undetermined because of the condition of his body, almost a month after his body was found, according to a report by The Independent.

Sands was first reported to be missing from Mt. Baldy area in California on 13 January – according to CNN. A week later on Tuesday 25 January, authorities announced that there was still no trace of Sands after finding another missing hiker.

Sands, who was best known for his role as Jor-El on Smallville was confirmed to have died after his remains were found on 24 June according to BBC. The actor’s remains have been identified after it was found in the Mt. Baldy area in California.

THE ACTOR’S DISAPPEARANCE 

Sands went missing in January after he did not return from his hiking trip in the San Gabriel Mountains in Mt. Baldy – east of Los Angeles.

In February, Sky News reported that aerial patrols were being carried out “intermittently” in search of the actor. Usually, searches would be downgraded within 10 days — the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department told the publication. This was after bad weather hampered earlier efforts.

Several searches were undertaken for the actor both on land and on foot by local and state-level agencies. Authorities have also reportedly used a Recco device — which is able to detect electronics and credit cards. This was conducted in the hope of establishing a more exact area in which to focus search efforts.

The actor’s family now has some closure after almost six months of not knowing what happened to him.
