Kaizer Chiefs have officially announced the departure of midfielder Cole Alexander just after two years at the club.

Alexander had a year left on his contract with Chiefs but as reported on The South African website, the two parties reached agreement to part ways.

The veteran midfielder agreed to Amakhosi‘s termination terms and settlement before signing it off earlier this week.

KAIZER CHIEFS ANNOUNCE COLE ALEXANDER’S EXIT

Alexander arrived at Chiefs on a three-year deal in 2021, and Stuart Baxter was instrumental in him singing for the club.

The pair had worked together at Indian Premier League (IPL) side Odisha, and Alexander enjoyed game time under Baxter at Chiefs.

The 33-year-old midfielder played 21 competitive games in his first season with Chiefs but injuries and a loss of form reduced him to just seven appearances last term.

He leaves Chiefs having scored a single goal which came in the 3-1 away win to Chippa United on 2 April 2022.
