WESTERN CAPE – Police in Kraaifontein, South Africa, are seeking the assistance of the public to trace 22-year-old Sindiswa Rum who was last seen on Tuesday morning leaving the Nyanga police station where she is employed as a constable. UPDATE Thursday 13 Aug: SAPS says that “the missing Sindiswa Rum has been found late last night and has since been reunited with her family.” There were no further details.
Sindiswa was reported missing on Tuesday, 11 August 2020 at around 22:00 by her mother after she failed to return home from night shift which had ended at 05:00 that morning.
The South African Police Service (SAPS) said in a statement that it is believed Constable Rum left the police station in civilian clothes with an unknown person in a white vehicle. Her cellular telephone has since been switched off and attempts to trace her have been unsuccessful.
