ACTRESS LETOYA MAKHENE RETURNS TO SCREEN

The talented actress Letoya Makhene-Pulumo plays the role of a damaged woman Kenzie Miyeni and stars alongside Enhle Mbali and Nay Maps in Netflix’s Home Wrecker.

Sowetan reports that Makhene-Pulumo revealed in the interview that the show is an exciting and super intense movie filled with many twists and turns.

She adds that viewers who have been in relationships that matter to them will be able to relate to the film and her fans will be able to see her range as an actress.

The singer-actress is also grateful for the role as it’s nothing compared to her and this is what acting is about.

The publication adds that the film centres around a damaged woman, Kenzie Miyeni, who is on a mission to steal Tamara Olpihant’s (played by Mbali Mlotshwa) life.

BACKGROUND OF ‘HOME WRECKER’

The Home Wrecker star Letoya Makhene-Pulumo , who exited Generations: The Legacy in 2019 also reveals that her character in the SABC1 soapie opened a lot of other doors for her because fans realised she was able to embody a character.

“It’s great because for the longest time I was being typecast by a lot of casting directors because even if an action role came along, it didn’t matter how well I did in auditions they always told me I’m too innocent, too sweet, too much of a mom, too caring and loving.”

The film is written and directed by Stephina Zwane-Groenewald and produced by award-winning actress Salamina Mosese.

It’s a gripping tale of ambition, envy, and betrayal that takes audiences on a riveting journey into the depths of human emotions, according to entertainment commentator Phil Mphela.

South Africans can watch Home Wrecker from Friday, 7 July on Netflix.
