Cape Town International Airport named Africa’s Leading Airport

Cape Town International Airport has once again been voted as Africa’s Leading Airport at the 2023 World Travel Awards.

BEST IN AFRICA: CAPE TOWN INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT WINS AGAIN

It’s lucky sevens for Cape Town Airport, who was just named Africa’s Leading Airport – for not one, not two but SEVEN consecutive years.

The World Travel Awards, which is widely seen as the “Oscars’” of the travel and tourism sector, was held yesterday, 15 October 2023, in a glittering event at The Atlantis Royal in Dubai, where all the winners were announced for the Africa and Indian Ocean category.

According to the results, Cape Town’s airport was voted the Leading Airport in Africa, for the seventh time in a row.

The airport was put up again several top contenders for the title, including Durban’s King Shaka International Airport and Johannesburg’s O.R. Tambo International Airport.

MOTHER CITY SHINES

Cape Town itself was also named Africa’s Leading City Destination at the awards, for the third consecutive year.
