LAND OF BRIDGES

According to 9News, Last week Vietnam unveiled its latest attraction. The Asian country is no stranger to extraordinary bridges.

Its Golden Hands Bridge located near Danang in central Vietnam attracts throngs of visitors each year.

Located on an island in Vietnam, the Kiss Bridge is set to become a global attraction for visitors.

PHU QUOC ISLAND VIETNAM

The bridge is situated in Vietnam’s southern Phu Quoc Island, famous for its beautiful beaches.

Phu Quoc is often regarded as Vietnam’s best island getaway and is favoured by honeymooners.

NEW DESIGN

The bridge spans a length of over 800 metres and consists of two separate halves, which meet but do not however touch one another.

The bridge’s north and south sections are separated by a 30-centimetre gap.

The attraction is the result of a collaboration between Italian architect Marco Casamonti and luxury tourism developer Sun Group.

The Sun Group is involved with similar projects, including the “Golden Bridge” near Da Nang, where two giant hands lift a shimmering structure.

FOR KISSING

The new bridge is set to become an Instagram hotspot, popular with couples taking pics.

The Kissing Bridge’s design was inspired by Michelangelo’s fresco painting The Creation of Adam – on display in the Sistine Chapel. Like the pointing fingers in the classic painting, the two halves leave a small space for intimate connection.

Vietnam’s new selfie hotspot named the Kiss Bridge, is where couples can share a romantic moment against the sunset.
